How we handle refunds

Custom furniture is made for one room and one household, so it cannot be resold like a stock item off a shelf. That shapes the way refunds work here. Our policy follows the Australian Consumer Law and applies to every order placed with Dealspot.

Cancelling before we cut timber

If you cancel before milling starts, your deposit comes back in full. We refund to the original payment method within ten business days and send you written confirmation the same day the refund is processed.

Cancelling once the build has started

After milling has started, the deposit covers work already done and materials already bought. We prepare an itemised statement of those costs and refund whatever is left of your payments. That figure usually lands between 35 and 60 percent of the deposit, depending on how far the job has gone.

Faulty or damaged items

If a piece arrives with a fault in materials or workmanship, we repair it, rebuild it or refund it, and you choose which of the three you want. Report the fault within a reasonable time, with photographs where you can, and we will arrange a workshop visit.

How to request a refund

Email dealspot@gmail.com or ring +61 3 9482 1765 with your invoice number and a short description of the issue. We respond within two business days and confirm the amount in writing before any money moves.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a claim, you can raise it with your state consumer affairs body or the ACCC.
