Legal information

Quotes and orders

A quote from Dealspot is valid for 30 days and is based on the sizes and materials agreed at the time. A job becomes an order only when you approve the final drawings in writing and pay the deposit.

Payments and deposits

We take a 40 percent deposit before cutting timber and the balance before delivery or on the day of installation. Card surcharges are passed on at cost and shown on the invoice.

  • Deposit of 40 percent, due on approval of drawings
  • Balance due before delivery or handover
  • Progress payments may apply on jobs over 20000 dollars

Delivery and installation

Delivery dates given at deposit stage are our best estimate. Timber supply, drying times and access to your site can shift them. We will tell you the moment we know a date is moving, and we will not add a late fee for delays we cause ourselves.

Timber and natural variation

Timber is a natural material. Grain pattern, colour and small surface marks vary between boards and between jobs. Sample boards are a guide to species and finish, not a guarantee of an exact match.

Cancellations and changes

You can cancel before we cut timber and receive your deposit back in full. Once milling has started, materials may be non-returnable and part of the deposit covers work already done. Changes to size or design after drawings are approved will be re-quoted.

Warranty and liability

Our joinery carries a seven-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. It does not cover damage from misuse, heat, water, or movement caused by a building settling. Liability is limited to the value of the affected item.
